"Normally, I write positive reviews when I receive outstanding service. Unfortunately, I find it necessary this time to share my negative experience with State Farm Insurance Company and the agent Mustafa Rasuli. Request for a premium quote. Based on several positive customer reviews I read about the company on customer service and competitive rates, I submitted an online request for a quote for insuring 5 vehicles and homeowners. I was contacted by a staff from Mustafa Rasuli agent and received a quote for 3 vehicles only and a split quote for the remaining 2 vehicles will follow within a week. I was told the system does not handle quotes for 5 vehicles at the same time. Days and weeks passed waiting for the premium quotes. I kept checking and got the same reply from Mustafa’s office: “it is in the hands of the underwriter and there is nothing he can do”. No policy issued - bill received ! Several weeks later, without issuing a policy and sending relevant policy documents , I received a bill for 3 vehicles and a notice that withdrawal was already made from my account (using my account info that I provided earlier when applying for a quote online). I called Mustafa Raulli to express my dismay how I could be charged without any formal notice of an insurance policy issued under my name and policy document sent on 5 vehicles and homeowners. Mustafa replied that “he will verify everything, It’s no problem “ Request to "cancel;" policy that was never issued More than a week passed by and still got no reply. To stop the ongoing saga, I requested Mustafa to cancel “the policy” (which was never issued in the first place), send a refund and remove my authorization for automatic payment. "Nothing I can do" Mustafa agreed to cancel, and replied: “You will receive all your policy documents first as the application was initially submitted Including this notice of premium change on the policy that you just received. Then you will receive the cancellation afterwards. There will be no charge to your account”. He then added: “Nothing I can do to speed up any of these processes, only can assure it will be as I explained”. Continue to receive a bill ! I continue to receive a bill and a reminder to make payment. I contacted him again to look into it with his company. Mustafa replied:" I have been watching for the completion of your policy cancellation. Your policies have been issued and cancelled per our previous conversation. Looks like you should be receiving refund checks soon hopefully. Sorry for any delay, but as you know our process can take time in situations like this, but you will get the full refund soon. ( I received the refund by then and notified him). Advised to Call the Corporate office ! Unable to resolve the matter, he advised me to contact the corporate office which I called got no where. I shared this info with him and he replied :” Sorry to hear they transferred you back to me, you can request to file a complaint which would transfer you to a different department”. Instead of taking a more proactive role and contacting the Underwriter and Corporate office directly and getting a closure on the matters, Mustafa’s repeated reply: “I would contact you and let you know when the policy is cancelled and confirmations have been sent”. Advised to File a complaint Unable to resolve the matter, he advised I contact the Corporate office which I did and got nowhere. When I shared the info with him, he replied : "sorry they transferred you back to me, you can request to file a complaint “. I felt filing a complaint with an unresponsive company and an insurance agent is a waste of time. Instead, I decided to write this review which I hope they will read. Received the cancellation Notice Today, I finally received a notification letter that the policy is cancelled. Although Mustafa promised to let me know when the policy gets cancelled and confirmed, he did not do so."
